Musezero Foundation was founded with a simple belief: travel should create opportunity. We partner with Shoebill Adventure Tours to ensure every safari doesn't just show you Uganda's beauty—it invests in Uganda's future.
How It All Started
Musezero Foundation was established in 2020 when founder Devis Tuyisenge identified a structural gap: Uganda's booming tourism industry generated billions in revenue, yet the communities hosting these experiences remained in poverty. The solution was radical in its simplicity — make every safari a direct investment in education and community empowerment.
Today, Musezero Academy serves 147 students, provides over 52,000 meals annually, and operates a Wellness Hub that has conducted 80+ healthcare visits to local communities. Every student receives quality education from qualified teachers, nutritious daily meals, and free medical care.

Growing up in East Africa, I witnessed firsthand how poverty creates barriers to education—and how education breaks cycles of poverty. After working in Uganda's tourism industry, I saw an opportunity: what if every safari could fund a child's education?
In 2020, I founded Musezero Foundation with a simple mission—connect travelers with the communities they visit. Today, through our partnership with Shoebill Adventure Tours, every gorilla trek and wildlife safari directly supports 147 students with education, nutrition, and healthcare.
What started as a small classroom has grown into a thriving academy. But our vision remains unchanged: every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a better future—regardless of their family's economic situation.

We envision a future where the children we support grow up to become leaders, innovators, and changemakers who uplift their communities and break the cycle of poverty for generations to come.

What makes Musezero unique is our partnership with Shoebill Adventure Tours. Every traveler who books a gorilla trek, wildlife safari, or cultural experience automatically becomes a partner in education—30% of their booking directly supports our students.
This model ensures sustainable funding while giving travelers the opportunity to visit Musezero Academy, meet students, and see their impact firsthand. Many return year after year, building lasting relationships with the children they support.
